Trust me, no one feels at home at first unless they already know a bunch of people. Bid day is weird for everyone. I rushed last year and everyone on my floor was talking about how uncomfortable it was, and we were all from different houses all over different tiers. The only successful rerush story i know was a girl who went to another house of a very similar rep to that of her first one, and the others either got the same house again or no bid at all.
