I have no idea, but I'd think it doesn't happen a lot...maybe more like a handful of times. There are no absolutes. You may try again if you like, but those with experience within the system Are telling you rushing a second time (especially by those who dropped from a house after accepting a bid) may have an even harder time. Listen to them, but if you are tough-skinned and don't mind the stress of rushing again next fall, go for it. Maybe after a year on campus and getting to know yourself and others better, you'll find your "better fit." Or...you could just get to know your sorority sisters and in no time at all you'll wonder why you were worried and be thankful you are in the same pledge class as your graduating class of sisters. I think that is a nice thing to keep in mind. Embrace your group, help make them even stronger with your membership (if that's your concern), and, now, go study! That's what your parents would rather you do, I'm certain.
