I think a lot of girls will be dropping before initiation/after bid day. I think the post about the numbers was really important to think about, but something seems to be extremely, extremely off this year. I agree that every sorority has diversity (yes, even the ones that are very "typey" - I won't name names, but some are a little less diverse than others), but for the most part, a house has a "feel". We can ALL agree on that. Not necessarily a stereotype (though people do stereotype them), but each house and sorority have a different vibe and thing going on. If a girl doesn't like that vibe or she feels she doesn't fit in, why is she being asked to be more "open-minded" ???? Just because you think some people are nice and friendly DOESN'T mean you want to hang out with them, be their best friends, can see yourself doing things with them. I don't think that girls should be asked or encouraged or pressured to join a sorority they don't see themselves being a PART of.
