Ok this guy above is SO inaccurate. I'm in a sorority and this is how it works for frays at Tulane- They give bids all semester long first semester to freshman and some transfers/sophomores although it's technically not allowed. GO TO AS MANY EVENTS AS YOU CAN AND MEET THE GUYS! if you mesh well with them you have the potential to get a bid (even as a sophomore). If you wait until "official" recruitment in the fall, very few fraternities have any bids left other than phi kap/ DTD/ ZBT. First week of school start going to all those big parties and getting to know guys and it will pay off!
