I don't know where you heard Tulane rush is awful. I'd say we have one of the least competitive rushes in the south because nearly everyone, as long as you don't do something extremely stupid, gets a bid to somewhere. GPA will usually matter with all of them but the sororities who probably consider it the most are Phi Mu, Theta, and Chi O. The top tier ones tend to accept friends and people they previously knew. In general, the upper tier ones tend to focus more on appearances, whereas the "lower" tier ones tend to focus more on the well rounded ness of a girl.
