Hey man, I did the same thing last year transferring In. If you’re going to try to get a bid in the spring, it’s going to be rough; most frats select their guys earlier in the year. But, it’s not impossible. You'll get the list of public rush events for the spring; there's going to be about 20 events (Try to go to every frat). Trust me, go to as many events as you can it doesn't matter which one you. It’s going to be overwhelming at first. Also, talk to anyone and everyone, and network! Eventually, you'll get invited to other events, and that shows that the frat is interested in you. If all goes right, one or even more will give you a bid. If you don't like the vibes of one fraternity, there are many others to choose from. It seems stressful (especially as a transfer ) with going to so many events in a short period, but in the end, it is 1000% worth it. Being in a frat as a transfer student is a great support network especially for that first semester. It's an instant friend base and that you can rely on for anything ranging from the brotherhood, academic help and even job networking. And being new to Tulane its a life saver. As much as I love Tulane they don't really integrate transfer students as well as the could. Ps. Try to take a lighter course load that semester bc a lot will happen
