most people view fraternities and sororities in terms of first, second, and third choices. first choice is what organizations people want to be in. second choice are organizations that people will be happy in if not given a bid to their first choice. third choice organizations usually require a change in attitude on behalf of the new recruit. most of these "trickle down" choices are groups of organizations that have similar vibes, just different reputations. first choice fraternity: d chi if they don't get d chi: sigma chi, delt third choice: sig ep, beta, pi kap First choice fraternity: pike if they don't get pike: alpha sig, aepi third choice: sammy, lambda first choice fraternity: phi sig kap if they don't get phi sig kap: alpha sig, zeta psi third choice: pi kap SAE and ZBT are too new to really have a niche yet; Beta established themselves surprisingly quickly, taking a bunch of old TKE guys and getting close to DG and Phi Mu through philanthropy events and mixers, respectively. first choice sorority: dg if they dont get dg: phi mu third choice: axid, sig delti first choice sorority: axo if they dont get axo: phi mu, phi sig third choice: axid, aephi first choice sorority: xo if they dont get xo: phi sig third choice: aephi, sig delt AXiD is still fairly new, but they won't be the new girls for long with Sigma Kappa coming. They seem to be trying to be a nicer version of Phi Mu, and a more fun version of DG.
