It completely depends on the sorority. Because of their nationals and advisors, the old and Southern sororities are very big on legacies. At AU, that probably only applies to Phi Mu and maybe Chi O. DG nationally is big on legacies, but they've also dropped legacies after day 1 in the past, so their chapter may not be as constricted as other DG chapters are. For smaller or newer chapters at AU, legacy vs non legacy isn't going to matter in the slightest. That's basically AEPhi, Sig Delt and AXD. Not sure what the policy is for AXO and PSS, but knowing girls in those chapters at other schools, legacies don't seem to have a major advantage in their recruitment. It helps, but it's not going to give you a huge leg up like it would in other chapters.
