Most chapters do their research and will know that you're a legacy once you walk in the door. However, many chapters aren't required to take every legacy that walks in their door. Some legacies may even get dropped by that chapter right after the first round of recruitment. So, depending on the chapter, your legacy status might help you a little, but I wouldn't bank on getting a bid from them just yet - they'll likely be more focused on who YOU are and what you bring to the table.
