Why would any girl in August choose to transfer to a college in the spring and say such awful things about sororities??? Its such a mean post!!! What top tier sorority would even want a girl like this in their house, when so many girls would be excited to join and get a bid. Is rush competitive? I think most girls just sign up and rush and see where they fit in. Do some girls get cut from houses they want? Yes. The top tier are tri delt, theta, kd as the top 3 picks. Alpha Phi considered top too. But I dont think anyone should even bother answering this post. This girl sounds mean and I dont even get her post? Is it real? Who would say such things about sororities and bother rushing? If you think the girls suck - don't rush. But then to ask is it even hard to get a bid since the girls suck at maryland? Sounds crazy! Either this is a joke post. Or this is a mean girl who is very insecure? She is transferring so she didnt get into maryland first round or hates where she goes and just sounds bitter and unhappy as a person. I hope this girl is NOT in my sorority!! She hopefully never rushed. Sororities ...girls are girls. Guys are different with each other. More chill. Girls in sororities find their crowd of friends, go to parties together, eat lunch together. It's a social club. At the bars...everyone mixes. I find parties mixed. I'm in one sorority, I have a friend in another sorority and I also like her friends. Do 100/150 girls get along all the time? Are they all best friends? No. But you rush, make your friends, go to parties together, tailgates. It's a fun extra at school. The most important part is getting your degree for your future career and life. The social aspect ... always a social aspect to school. It should be fun and positive. If it's not, so many clubs and activities to join. Some girls in the dorms find their group and are very happy. All the sororities are good! If it's your thing. This was such a negative post, we shouldn't bother answering it. But if girls want to know what the top houses are...that's a fair question. This negative girl, why would she want to pay extra money and what sorority wants a girl, any sorority tier like this, in their house. Every house would rather have a pledge/sister who not only wants to be there BUT likes her fellow sisters. Why join with feelings like this? Makes no sense. I hope she didnt rush, I hope more she isnt in my sorority. Its girls like her, who ruin sororities. Most girls join to find a "home" at school. It's fun! This attitude is not cool at all. I'm in a top house, I hope she didnt try and get a bid and join. Why not choose another school where you deem the people hot and cool.
