If you go into rush with an open mind you will definitely be surprised with the sororities that people say are “weird” or are not “top tier” on gr. I know people who join “top tier” sororities that are miserable but they joined because it’s “top”. I know people who are in “mid/bottom” tier sororitys who love their sororitys. A very small percentage of ppl actually write on greekrank and it’s always to promote their own sorority/frat so it’s not an accurate representation of what Greek life is like at umd AT ALL. At the end of the day, you don’t want to make a decision based on what you hear or what other people say because these are the people who you’ll be associated with for the next 3 years and if you can’t be proud of your sisters or the organization you pledged, then whats even the point
