My mother was in DG when she went to UMD. Most of the people in the sorority are nice and friendly. Similar to removing a malicious tumor, It's better to call someone out on their bad behavior (and have them dealt with accordingly) then to let that attitude fester within the sorority and eventually bring it down and out in a worse condition than it would have otherwise.
