First of all - get away from this site. GreekChat.com has much better advice on going through the recruitment process, getting recommendations, etc. Letters of recommendation aren't really needed at UCLA, but might be helpful. Most people don't get them, though. Panhellenic has good info on what to wear: Go to NPCBruins.com -> Recruitment -> What to Wear It's been said before - sororities look for women who are well put together, funny, accomplished, great personality, easy to talk to, and being attractive is a definite plus. It's a balance between women you want to hang out with every day, women who are socially presentable at both parties and parents weekend events, and women who have some kind of prestige to offer the chapter (dance team, sports team, pageants, etc.)
