Go through fall recruitment. It's a valuable experience to meet all the chapters and see what they're about. Not all the chapters will do winter or spring recruitment, because several chapters will be over chapter total (maximum chapter size - Panhellenic sets this limit at about average chapter size after fall recruitment, so several chapters will always be over the limit). If you're shy and come across better after you've spent time in classes and activities with people, then it might be better to go through recruitment in winter/spring, but I'd recommend at least signing up for fall and going through the first day.
