Literally just be honest, talk to as many brothers as you can, check out both "top" and "bottom" tier fraternities. Give as many houses as you can a chance. Don't stay too long in any one house, keep moving and try every house. Don't worry about the tier, worry about if you feel comfortable and feel you're going to have fun. Just be yourself that's all any house wants from you. Not getting a bid from a certain house is not the end of the world. 1st day of rush check out as many houses as you can, second day go to the houses you felt most comfortable at, and by the second day you'll probably have a bid by them if they think you're a good fit for the fraternity. Third day is the last day and that's the day you have to accept a bid if you decide to join Greek life. To answer your question, just be you, and be real with them as to why you want to join.
