Subject:
advice for everyone going through recruitment

Poster Message:
1) It's stressful, but worth it in the end. Just put your best foot forward and be honest about who you are, and you'll the house that you know if for you. 2) Do not listen to "rankings" and "who's top house". If you choose a house based on the frats they hang out with, and who's hot, guaranteed you will drop. It's a mistake every freshman makes, don't make it. 3) The sorority you're in does not depict which frat guys you hang out with. The frats are cool, and so are the sororities. EVERYONE HANGS OUT WITH EACHOTHER! If your best guy friends are in Phi Tau, or Pi Kapp, or DChi, you will find friends in every chapter who love them too. 4) If you've gone to any parties at fraternities, by now you know, some girls will try to dirty rush you. Do not think "oh, they're doing that because they really want me, I should rush them". no. They want to get their name out there. So if you've been approached to "Go XYZ" or "You should pregame with me and my sisters", learn to disregard. Do not acknowledge anything you hear before recruitment. 5) ANY RUMORS YOU HEAR BEFORE RECRUITMENT ARE NOT TRUE. College or High School, rumors are still spread. Almost always, none are true. Go in with a clear slate and open mind and make your own judgement. 6) All that aside, know that NO, IT IS NOT JUST LIKE THE SORORITY GIRL STEREOTYPE. There will always be a few bad apples in every chapter, but if you will find your home away from home if you keep an open mind! GOOD LUCK, LADIES!
