^Yeah, that's probably not going to happen. For one, if they were to do that, then they would be willingly giving themselves a rough start on campus with only a small amount of brothers. That never seems to work out well with recruitment. And also, I think their nationals and the school is going to notice when most of the re-chartering members are "cut" as soon as they become a chapter and nationals leaves. Pi Lam used to be an awesome fraternity here at CNU, and it's a shame that they got kicked off for a bunch of reasons. But the chapter that is returning isn't going to be anywhere near what the old chapter was like (spoiler: thats why the school kicks them off until all the actives graduate). I heard they aren't even initiating Billy, the one and only loyal Pi Lam Pledge that stayed around (not joining the joke that is kappa sig) to rebuild the chapter when the time came. Nationals rebuilds the fraternity to national standards and not to the standards of the chapter its self. And now with the competitive recruitment between Pi Kapp, Psi U, and Kappa Sig, It's going to be very difficult to build a chapter that even resembles the old one slightly. Any fraternity that has been founded in the last 10 years simply doesn't have the ability to establish themselves with a good pledge process as the old fraternities of CNC were able to do when the school wasn't nearly the same. Regardless, I wish them the best of luck in their endeavors.
