Good grades, looks and personality are definitely the top 3 attributes they're looking for but if you have good recs it just makes you that much more memorable before the girls even meet you. I wouldn't say you'll necessarily get cut for not having a rec, but if the sorority really wants you they are sometimes required you have one so they'll get an alum to write you one and it's just a pain. So honestly I suggest just putting in the effort to get them done, even if they're from people you don't really know, don't stress! As far as number of recs, it doesn't help or hurt to send in more than one. Stick with only one!
