Very sorry for what happened to you. This was terrible advice. It is never wise to suicide, quota additions for example. Just b/c you liked one over the other, which every one does, in reality, you were probably a better fit at #2 and would have probably really enjoyed it. Looking back on my own experience, I went for a "top" house and got it, but #2 would have been a better fit for me and I probably would have been happier there. I bet your gut/instincts were probably telling you suicide was not the right thing to do - learn from this, always trust your gut/instincts, not just with recruitment but with everything. Give yourself a few days to feel bad but pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in there even if you don't feel like going through it again. This whole experience will build character and make you stronger. Go check out AXiD.
