<strong>Subject:</strong><br />thoughts on recruitment<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Well bid day is here so I thought I would share some anonymous thoughts about how I, and many of my group, saw the houses through recruitment. I, like many pnm's, especially those coming from a good distance, stalk this site pretty regular before recruitment starts and of course we get a biased view of how the sororities are looked at. I'm pretty average in that I come from a suburb of a large city, my family is not poor but not filthy rich either. I had decent grades, rec's for most houses, no legacy connections, I'm decent looking, I feel, but no pageant queen and I was involved in multiple organizations at school and church, these were MY impressions, in no order. Pi Phi- They were about how GR has them, they were all beautiful and very nice, emphasized the spiritual opportunities, which I thought was nice and were overall a bit intimidating, the kind of group that you know has their choices before going in and they will get the ones they want, it effects your conversations because even though the girls are nice while talking to you, unless your already in you have no shot so it makes it awkward for most of the girls in the group, of course you put them in your top 8 anyways LOL. Chi O- Really nice group. They had a good mix of girls and seemed interested in more than just what you looked like but what you could bring to their sorority, didn't like their outfits much and some awkward moments but most of the conversations went pretty well both nights I was there,(cont)
