I am also a Chem E in a sorority. I think it's good to join a sorority as an engineering major to make it easier to make some girl friends since most engineering majors are boys. I'm friends with Chem E majors in DG, ADPi, APhi, ZTA, and Theta (I'm sure there are more, but those are the only ones I know personally). They'll all tell you the same thing. If you want to get something out of your sorority and school, then that's what you have to put your time into. It is definitely possible. Very few sorority girls are engineers, but they are out there and from experience, it is SUPER helpful to join a sorority that has other people in your major. They help keep you on track.
