I don’t think your chances are gonna get any higher if you decide not to rush this fall and do spring instead. A friend of mine rushed this Spring as a 2nd Semester Sophomore. She had a 3.5 GPA, she’s a TTU Ambassador, and she’s the VP 2 student organizations. I didn’t tell her this but she almost didn’t get a bid because the execs felt like she rushed pretty “late” ... I felt like this was a poor excuse since there’s plenty of girls rushing during their Sophomore years too so I vouched really hard for her. We’re considered to be one of the “Top-tier” sororities that’s why I also understand why the execs were very strict about who we invite. Spring Rush is usually held informally so you’re on your own or someone should vouch for you on your character and if you embody what the sorority stands for. Do you have any friends from the mid-tier sororities that you’re interested in? Start talking to them about it and tell them that you’re interested in rushing.
