If your GPA is below a 3.0 in high school you may struggle in college. Bids want to be given to those who will stay active for 4 years and no house wants to use a bid on a potential grade risk. If you’re going through recruitment as a sophomore or above, not as many upper class men are taken so houses are more selective. Can you get in with lower Gpa? Some house absolutely not, others maybe. Maybe you’re a legacy, have great connections, etc. Makes total sense.
