Yes, the reason is that Sigma Chi held an unofficial bid day party. Sigma Chi was on social suspension involving alcohol with their name on it, therefore it was a bad idea to take the risk on the bid day event. Sigma Chi nationals eventually found out since a Pike was at the event and ratted to the school. Nationals told the Epsilon Nu chapter of Sigma Chi that they have received too many warnings and therefore discontinued the charter. It is not known when Sigma Chi will come back, but Nationals is the one making the decision for when the best time to recharter will be.
