Subject:
upperclassmen rushing sororities at tech: good or

Poster Message:
I am currently attending a junior college, and will be transferring to TTU this coming fall. I went to a JuCo straight out of high school because of a scholarship offer. (Major blessing, haven't paid a dime for college yet.) I will be classified as a junior when I come to tech, and I am super interested in Greek life. That being said, I've heard lots of rumors about how being an upperclassman limits your chances of sororities wanting to recruit you. I understand it's typically freshman/18 year old girls that are involved in formal rush week, but by then I will have just turned 21. I've got TONS of leadership and community service under my belt, and my current GPA is a 3.4. I'm genuinely interested in making friends/sisters with girls who are outgoing and driven like I am. So, overall, does age or classification hurt your chances of being recruited? HONESTLY.
