To the person above: You are correct in saying that people graduate, drop, get kicked out, etc. However, most chapters at tech are strong enough financially to avoid having to fill those spots immediately, so they wait until the fall for convenience purposes. Also, it is kind of looked down upon for a top or even middle house to take a spring pledge class so most avoid it if they can. It's just how things work here.
