Senior guy here. I’d say that kappa and theta are pretty even in terms of ranking overall, but it really varies by year. Theta usually gets hotter pledge classes, but most of the more popular/attractive ones usually end up dropping after a year or two. Kappa’s pledge classes are more of a mixed bag, but most people end up staying in for 4 years (even the more attractive ones). In terms of “type”, thetas are usually more edge/party harder and Kappa gives off a more hipster/granola vibe. Honestly, just go through rush and see which group you’re the most comfortable with. No one really cares which sorority you’re in here, so you’ll want to pick a group that you’re truly comfortable with if you’re actually intending to stay in all 4 years.
