Just wanted to add some info about my opinion of sigma nu- they're definitely not top tier at all & they know that, but yeah I def agree that a lot of them are really friendly, nice people. A number of them are fairly nerdy and they're definitely not what you think of when you think of a stereotypical frat, but if you want a frat that doesn't care a lot about becoming top and focuses primarily on surrounding themselves with people they like, sig nu might be a good place to look. They're fairly small and their brotherhood has always seemed pretty strong. They've definitely put a lot of effort into philanthropy participation. Disclaimer: I'm not actually in Greek life, but I like reading stuff on this site just for fun. I have a number of friends in sig nu and they're good people. Pretty diverse; as a whole, yes a number are kinda nerdy, but more than you think don't fit that description. If you're on the fence about rushing, I think they might be a good fit for you since they don't really care about competing with other frats in the tier system, they just want a strong chapter with people they like. They're def not really hard partiers, though they do have some parties occasionally. If you like greek life for the opportunity to make friends but aren't super into the frat party thing, def check them out. They're very quick to welcome potential members. Some of my best friends are sig nu's so I wanted to give my opinion on them since I know many quite well. Hope this helps!
