Tbh it was the decision of the members that joined. All frats are more or less the same, some may party more or whatever but generally they are more or less the same. I don’t see why you would join a frat that is just starting out and spend the rest of your 4 years trying to make something happen as opposed to just joining one of the ones that has a strong base and good rep. They knew what they were getting themselves into, and now obviously it’s going to be harder to mix and such. You gotta understand semester calendars are made way in advance and there’s only so much money in the budget. Girls don’t want to risk a mixer with someone they don’t know over the frats they’ve been interacting with for years. You also gotta reach out and make friends with these girls so you have people to vouch for a good turnout and so on. Much love to those guys and I’m sure they are great lads, however, the sad truth is the guys in it now prob won’t be around when that frat becomes a well known frat. There is no dislike towards them because hardly anyone knows them. It’s just when their name gets brought up people laugh because we’re still young and like to make jokes. They haven’t actually done any harm what’s so ever to give themselves a bad name so there CANT be any actual hate. However, the truth is also they haven’t done anything name changing to be seen in the eyes of the Greek community, let alone the rest of the non Greek people.
