When I went through recruitment I thought I wanted to join a specific sorority, but going through all of recruitment allowed me to learn a little bit about each sorority. I ended up joining a different one than I original thought and couldn't have found a better fit. I wouldn't let other opinions influence your decision, especially comments greek rank. People are so quick to make negative comments when they can hide behind an anonymous name. The majority of people who make those negative comments aren't part of the sorority, so they really don't know what its like to be a member. Each sorority has their strengths and weaknesses, whether its in sisterhood, philanthropy, social life, scholarship ect. My best advice is to go into recruitment with an open mind, and choose the sorority the best aligns with your values, and what you want to get out of your experience at Western.
