Honestly just use this site for comedy purposes. You will probably only get good advice perhaps 10% of the time. That being said, if you look good, are well put together, polite (not overly saccharine), and just classy. You'll be fine. That advice will help you be successful anywhere, including a sorority at SC. And if you don't have problem getting recs and you're wealthy that just helps you even more. Being from the South isn't going to hurt you as long as you aren't 'The Southern, everything is better in the South PNM', instead of the 'PNM who just happens to be from the South' if you know what I mean. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with you being Southern as long as you're not rude and abrasive about it. If anything it will just be one thing to help you stand out from most of the PNMs. As for the trolls calling you a dumb bigot, well bless their hearts. Good luck for the future and wherever you end up going through recruitment.
