I don't think Alpha Phi is very snobby or flashy about money so I wouldn't worry about that. Only a handful of girls each year have celebrity connections or whatever so while that stuff is helpful for getting into a top house it isn't necessary. There was an Alpha Phi in my hall freshman year and she said they emphasize tradition a lot so I would guess that being a legacy would help. But it's important to know that for all houses at USC, legacy isn't as important as it might be in the South. I have a friend that goes to SMU that already knows what house she's going to be in because her sister, mom, grandma and aunts were in that house. For my house, we don't care that much if you're a legacy to another chapter other than USC. Maybe an extra look or you'll make it an extra round but otherwise it just matters if we like you. I'm not really sure about Alpha Phi specifically but I would think it's probably the same for most houses at USC.
