I posted this on another thread, but you need to see this too... So I'm on leadership for Panhellenic and actually check out this site just check for things like this. Getting emailed by chapters is absolutely 100% against the rules, even if they are just saying they want to help answer questions- that is what we are here for. The fact that you were emailed by more than one sorority is really concerning, because I am sure you are not the only one they emailed. Please email out panhellenic president (email is on the website) and let her know, if possible include the emails from the sororities. Doing so will not get you in trouble by any means, and it will not affect your recruitment. If you don't email us and we find out later on (i.e. during recruitment), the repercussions could be more serious... I know last year there were a few girls who were sent messages/emails that got to one of the final rounds then got dropped by the sorority, which is when they told panhellenic (aka too late for PHC to do anything about it to help the girl). I would hate to see you in the same situation, and it is super important to stop these kind of things if possible.
