That’s not how recruitment works for NPC sororities. There aren’t a predetermined number of spots—quota is roughly the number of PNMs divided by the number of chapters on a campus. If all 1,000 PNMs completed recruitment, every chapter could take about 111 PNMs. Those “70% heartbroken” aren’t getting cut from all 9 chapters—they are dropping out of recruitment because they were cut from the chapters they wanted. As the pool of PNMs shrinks each round in primary recruitment, so does projected quota.
