What happened at UCSB this weekend could have happened anywhere - USC included. I hope everyone is reaching out to their friends and family members and even acquaintances who attend UCSB and offering whatever help they can. In the grand scheme of things, how popular your house is or how well known you are on campus means nothing in a world where the pull of one trigger can end everything. I hope we can all remember that and realize that saying negative things about each other behind the cowardly anonymity of the internet is a sad, sad waste of time - time that could be better spent in so many wonderful ways. I'm not religious, but I'll say it. Prayers to the students of UCSB. Prayers to everyone whose life has been affected by this horrible event. Prayers to everyone who has ever and will ever struggle with mental health issues.
