Subject:
Rush Experience from Real Rushee

Poster Message:
Like nearly every rushee out there, I am only really interested in the off-campus frats. I hit all the top frats for tours and logged in my preferences. Even though I’m from OC, I’m not interested in Sigma Chi. Just not my group of guys. I know guys from my HS who are current Sigs and they were cool guys just not all that serious about school. Impressions: I don’t get the vibe Sigs are the smartest bunch. Seems to follow what people post here about them not being super academic and yes their house is very old and out of date. They showed me stuff about a new house which looks super cool but it’s not going to be ready for years. They have a janky half-pipe in the back that should probably be torn-up and hauled away. Regardless, I’m sure they have plenty of kids who would take a bid from them, just not me. Strange thing is that they started contacting me directly to come back even though I did not preference them. They said there was mix-up and I should have gotten a notice and the guys really liked me. I told the rush guy chair guy thanks but no thanks. He didn’t seem to get the message as they are still pushing for me to come back. Anyone else getting the desperate GF feel from Sigma Chi? I'm shooting for the other top frats...No hate to Sig Chi just speaking my mind!
