I'm a senior now, but all of my friends were in Theta when I rushed and I got dropped after the first day. I ended up in a house that is not in one of the "top 4" houses and absolutely ADORE IT. I've met my best friends on earth and am so glad I'm not in a catty/fake "top" house. Maybe it's different in other houses, but connections literally mean nothing to my chapter. We often drop PNMs because all they do is name drop girls in the house but don't show us their own personality/character. Have great conversations in the house - that is literally all that matters. Fun fact, houses can go over pledge class quota if they have juniors or seniors in the PC. It's not a negative thing if you're older at all! DO: Be yourself, be genuine, be kind, be a good conversationalist. DON'T: Put other houses down, go in with a "top or nothing" mindset, bring up any controversial topics (e.g. boys/money/partying), only ask questions about the house and tell us nothing about yourself. I know everyone says this, but trust the process. You'll end up in the right house for you.
