Dear rushee, Don't fret about rushing. I'm not gonna lie, at times the greek system at 'sc can seem superficial, but please please PLEASE do not go off what you read online. Although some descriptions are spot on, others are just bitter and only a few people posting absurd things (possibly not even in the Greek system). Sororities don't just consider looks, but we try to connect with those rushing and try to see if we could see them in our house. Everyone joins a sorority for a different reason--to meet people, make friends, to have fun, to get that "college experience," etc.--but whatever your reason may be, it won't hurt to at least give the Greek system a try and rush. I's all about finding that house that you feel comfortable in. The Greek scene is not for everyone, but it can be a great experience and a great way to gain more connections. I personally love my chapter, and I know that I will keep in touch with these girls even after college. Basically what I'm trying to say is just to please give all the sororities a chance. They all contain amazing girls.
