They aren't fake, it's called being bubbly. It's done across all chapters to some extent, being overly enthuastic. It's like a customer service job, where you have to be super outgoing and nice all the time. Think about it from the sorority's perspective, we have to convince you the pnm to join us. We can't afford to be rude or boring. That mindset results in such behavior. Every chapter has its own vibe or way of showing this.
