2) what to talk about during recruitment It's not so much WHAT you talk about but how you approach the conversation. Some tips: - Do not make me hold the entire conversation. You, as the PNM, should be asking questions about greek life in general, my sorority specifically, and even ask questions about my personal life (Ex: my hobbies, interests, sports etc) - Even if you are shy, try your best to be talkative. If you act shy, you MIGHT come off as standoff-ish and that is not a good thing. Be yourself (even if you think you're weird) because chances are, we will like you more if you are open and outgoing. - Do not talk about boys, booze, religion, other sororities/fraternities - Avoid awkward small talk - Tell us what you're hoping to get out of this experience. Why do you want to be in a sorority. Be honest. - If you have any questions or concerns, we will be happy to address them. - Do not be intimidated when you talk to someone who is drop dead gorgeous (trust me, it happens). Be yourself, they are just as nervous as you are. DO. NOT. CLAM. UP. - Don't swear (or at least try your best not to swear) - If you're a sassy person, don't be afraid to show your sass. BE YOURSELF. - If you really want to impress a sorority girl = take charge of the conversation
