I know we are all excited to start this new year. I was just experimenting with some interesting things over the summer break and wanted to share. I hope you're all doing well. This is the session that I was talking about earlier and it was specifically geared to find out what that "endpoint of pain" truly is and what lies beyond. I'm gonna share the full experience in case you're wondering. It was a bullwhip and repeated roundhouse kicks. It was a sequence of single shot malt whiskey and roundhouse kicks to the face. I've been increasing my pain tolerance for two months now in preparation. It starts slow with long breaks in between but rapidly moves towards waterboarding and even fireboarding. My mindset was that I wanted to experience what happens if you go past the "breaking point" aka when you feel like you can't take it anymore. It's so weird to put it into words but at a certain point when the pain was unbearable it turned into this superhuman ability where I felt immune to water and immune to fire, a lot like the flagellants describe seeing God through the pain. All I could think about was trying to drink all the water in the ocean and all the fire in the sky. Right before I passed out I actually knew that I was waterbending just like in ATLA. It was the strongest I've ever felt in my life. Unlike the feeling of satisfaction after sweating and completing a long hike or a tough workout, this just felt like the purest feeling of power imaginable. Then I just blacked out. So I guess that's the real "endpoint" of pain. Well when I finally woke up and asked what happened they said I passed out the second they put the towel over my mouth to try waterboarding me and never even went through with it. I looked at the footage... and yeah they were right. I didn't even get roundhouse kicked once or waterboarded I just passed out from the fear and had a crazy dream, but it goes to show you something probably.
