As someone who went to residence Jumpstart and was an orientation Leader for commuter Jumpstart... 1. Residence Jumpstart costs a lot, but you'll have all the time in the world to make friends and adjust to UBC, which is great. 2. If you're a commuter, you can do commuter Jumpstart, which is much cheaper, but you don't get the same level of interaction.
