hi I would say that this man doesn’t want to date you and probably sees your situation as a casual hookup and not “seeing each other”. Especially if he’s older and you’re in first year, I would either accept it’s casual and keep it that way or move on and find someone who wants what you want. If you’re already stressing about red flags it’s probably best to let it go.
