Good pledge class, positive vibe all around. Frat ranks change all the time. They’re most dependant on the guys who live in the house/the guys who are constantly around the house. Basically those guys will dictate the frat’s atmosphere, culture, what girls will come around, etc. If the guys are fun, good looking, it’ll be a positive atmosphere and better girls will keep coming around and the frat’s tier will go up. In Fiji’s case, they really just know how to have fun. You can also look at other frats who’s tiers have changed this year. I.e. Alpha Delt went from middle to bottom and KSig from bottom to middle. In Alpha Delt’s case, most of their fun, good looking guys have graduated or moved on from Greek life. Their 2018 pledge class was pretty brutal and those are the guys who are living in the house and with positions, so they are dictating the frat’s culture. That is why they went from a fun, party animal house with a big presence to a quiet, nerdy house that most sorority new members haven’t ever been to or even heard of. For KSig, they had a really good pledge class in 2018. Those are the guys who are now living in the house, creating the better culture, bringing better girls around. Consequently, their tier went up. Ksig also recruited well this year so their tier will continue to rise once those guys move in, get positions, etc.
