Subject:
adshade running for ubc board of governors

Poster Message:
Hey, so Ms. Adshade is running for board of governors and in light of her recent and blatant hatred towards the greek system, we should maybe think about taking action. If you go to respectful environment page on UBC it says this about harassment: "Personal harassment is objectionable and unwanted behaviour that is verbally or physically abusive, vexatious or hostile, that is without reasonable justification, and that creates a hostile or intimidating environment for working, learning or living. Personal harassment behaviour includes persistent demeaning or intimidating comments, gestures or conduct; [...] persistent comments or conduct, including ostracism or exclusion of a person, that undermines an individual’s self-esteem so as to compromise their ability to achieve work or study goals; unwarranted and excessive supervision or criticism of an individual [or group in this case] ; abuse of power, authority or position; sabotage of a person’s work; hazing; spreading of malicious rumours or lies; or making malicious or vexatious complaints about a person." In my opinion, I think her actions towards the greek system thus far are along these lines and her position at UBC should be questioned. the LAST thing that our community needs is her on the board of governors. Write (polite) letters, contact the dean, idc. but we should be doing something. (also this is a sorority girl speaking so just because we haven't been directly picked on by this prof doesn't mean we should do nothing and I think everyone's pretty upset by her after Remembrance Day)
