I am so, so tired of being in a sorority. Unless you’re a first year with no friends or any kind of life outside of your academics, it’s so soul sucking and tiring. Exchanges every week? Points we have to gain in order to go to semi and formal? I’ve never seen such bad grades on my SSC til now. Y’all have some whack system of points and making us go to so many dumb ass events no one cares about in order to go to semi or formal. And on top of that, no one tells you about the hidden costs of a sorority. Yeah, we pay like 1.5k in dues but it’s so much more than that. Want merch? -100$. Want to look good for semi or formal? -100$ each event. The money that has been spent on makeup, booze pres, mandatory donations to our charities adds up so much. And my sorority decided to charge EXTRA for our formal this year as if it wasn’t included in our dues already. I’m so glad I got out of this hell haha. Not to emotion the constant cattiness between girls in higher tier sororities and lower tiers. God; it must be tiring being so hateful to girls who literally did nothing wrong to you all the damn time
