I rushed in my third year as a transfer and got a bid to a "top tier" chapter. A couple of the other girls in my pledge class were also transfers or older. Honestly though, it doesn't matter which sorority you get a bid from as long as where you end up is where you feel like you belong. If you don't get along with your sisters or have completely different values it doesn't matter if you're in the #1 chapter, you're going to hate it. Don't go into recruitment thinking that you have to get into DG or Kappa or whatever, just take the time to actually get to know the girls you talk to at each party and don't let reputation affect your decision. You'll be way happier in the long run.
