to freshman: 1. It's better to rush first year because you already have good grades from high school (you got into ubc for a reason) otherwise if you rush second year with poor grades it can be harder. 2. be genuine, don't try to impress people 3. there's nothing to avoid but make sure you're comfortable with the girls you choose, and you can be yourself with them. 4. don't be discouraged if it doesn't work out with your initial top pick, get to know the girls who do invite you back better because you can change your mind. You can't make judgements on solely one time of seeing people, that's why there's more than one round. 5. if rushing with a friend, make your own decision. If you end up together that's great, if you don't there's plenty of girls who have best friends in a different sorority.
