It was coming for a long time. Theta hasn't had a good pledge class since MAYBE four or five years ago. A huge chunk of the girls they recruited this year and last year are the girls that got cut from every other sorority (including AOII). The only thing they had to cling on to was that they were the "smart" sorority but a lot of other sororities had higher GPA than them this year and Theta won zero awards. On the other hand AOII has slowly but steadily been improving their philanthropy and involvement and I've literally never had a negative interaction with an AOII. They have always been really sweet. Theta not even a little bit.
