A lot of the time sweetheart goes to a girl that has been dating one of the guys for a long time AND spends a lot of time at the house, knows all the guys, and helps out with their events. That being said, just dating a frat guy doesn’t automatically mean you’ll get sweetheart - you need to actually be friends with the rest of the guys too, not just only hang out with your bf. It also tends to go to older girls (3rd/4th year’s) because they’ve been around longer and have those bonds, though not always. But it’s definitely rare for a girl to get sweetheart in her first year.
